Welcome to Families at HTCD!

Our Families Ministry aims to serve and equip families to enable them to enjoy life together and to reach out to neighbours and friends, both practically and spiritually, as a beacon of God’s love. We offer a variety of sessions and courses to support your family needs, including: family outreach events, respite treats, toddler group support, pastoral family visits, parenting courses, prayer support and a families support scheme.

Whilst we hope that family life is positive and joyful, we understand that there can be times when home life is difficult. This may be because a member of your household has fallen ill, you have a newborn, you are experiencing difficulties with your children, or you are finding it hard to cope with life in general. This can happen to anybody, despite their financial situation, so we are here to help. Working in a similar way to ‘Home-Start’ and the council ‘Family Support Worked’, trained and DBS checked volunteers from HTCD can come and assist you with your challenges once a week for a period of time. If you are in need, please get in touch as we would love to help you and arrange practical support with you so that we can help bring the joy back into family life.
