About the Event

The traditional village fete is being held again at Brantwood in South Stoke Lane, BA2 7DN. There will be fun sideshows including coconut shy and skittles; attractive stalls selling bric-a-brac, books, delicious cakes and jams, textiles and jewellery, as well as a wildlife trail, children’s activities, cakes and teas and a bar. The City of Bath Brass Band and Jazz Beanz will entertain the visitors with music, and the afternoon finishes with a raffle draw and an exciting tug of war between South Stoke and Midford villages.  The fete is in aid of St James Church in South Stoke and Grow for Life. Entrance is £1 with under 14s going free.

Sue MacGrain, one of the fete organisers said: We are so pleased to be able to hold the South Stoke Fete again; it is a wonderful event in which around 100 volunteers take part putting up tents, making cakes and jams, running stalls and sideshows, and clearing up afterwards. It is a real team effort. All we need now is good weather and lots of visitors to come flocking through the gates. We hope to raise significant funds for both our local charities whilst offering fun for all the family.
