About the Event

Session 6 – Creativity and the Preacher

How do we get good at illustrating our sermons?  What does a good illustration look like, or not look like?

How do we use creativity and imagination in a sermon while still be faithful to the text?

How can we use senses other than hearing in our sermons?  How can we do this well?

How does our physical space affect a sermon and what can you we do about it? (notes, room, microphone, clothes, etc)

How can we improve the style and tone of our communication?

Organised by Shawn Swinney at Holy Trinity Combe Down.  Book your place here or email Shawn at shawn@htcd.church.  There will be a variety of churches represented. Talks from the first course are available on YouTube.

Timing

7.45 for tea, 8pm to 9.30pm

Each evening there will be three talks of between 10 to 15 minutes.  Each talk will give a chance for people to process the ideas in groups with a practical component to the evening where we can put what we are learning into practice.
