Room Hire 

st. Andrews Community church

The Church is an important part of the community and so we are pleased to host community groups and family celebrations. We have three rooms of different sizes, a commercial kitchen, a small garden and parking for 5 cars.  The Church has level access to all areas

and disabled toilet facilities.

The cost of hire varies depending on the size of the room and how long your event is. There may be a charge for a caretaker to open or close the building for afternoon or evening events. There are discounts available for local Community Groups and for church members.

Main Hall 

The main hall is a flexible space (12m x 11m) and can seat up to 120 people in rows or 80-90 seated around tables. It is carpeted and can be laid up to your specification. There is a hatch with access to the kitchen with doors that can be closed, a small raised platform at the front. The hall is equipped with a projector, screen and sound system.

A popular option is to use the main hall as the focal point for your event and use the side hall to serve refreshments or for children to sit down and enjoy their party food.

There is easy access from the café/reception area to the main hall.

The ceiling is very high and therefore suitable for bouncy castles and other activities.  Kitchen hire is usually included.

Meeting Room & Garden 

To the rear of the church is a smaller hall (12m x 5m) which can seat up to 50 people lecture style, 30 people in a large ring, or 40 people seated around large tables. Double-doors open onto a weather-proof garden area with benches, sunshade and some outdoor play equipment. (see below) A portable projector screen and projector can be provided. A multi purpose room for table meetings or sticky crafts (has a washable floor).  No kitchen facilities (unless separately booked).

As you walk into the building there is a café area (6m x 12m) which has 6 café style tables and 2 coffee tables surrounded by 25 chairs. This is a general place for meeting people and socialising; and so is less available for hiring out to groups. However, some events have been hosted here if we can fit it in around other events. There is a TV and music system which can be used via Bluetooth, usb, aux and cd.

Kitchen

There is a modern, well-equipped kitchen. It includes a large refrigerator, and a large freezer. If you require space for a short time during your hire, then do ask and we may be able to accommodate you. There is a large catering stove and oven, microwave, plumbed in urn, warming drawer, dishwasher and plenty of preparation areas. There are approximately 100 place settings available. You are welcome to use everything so long as everything is left clean and tidy afterwards. If you are hiring for the first time, then a guided tour and instructions can be given.

Facilities 

Toilets: There is a ladies, gents and disabled toilet off from the café area.

Furniture

Chairs: There are a total of 110 grey padded chairs, 10 grey padded chairs with arms, 25 red café chairs, 3 sofas, 29 small red kids’ chairs, 15 highchairs,

Tables: 12 trestle tables (seat 8 people each), 6 square café style tables (seat 2 people each), 6 low tables (to match height of kids’ chairs), 3 coffee tables
