Holy Trinity begins Christian Union at Ralph Allen School

We’re excited to let you know that a Christian Union will be starting up at the Ralph Allen School in Combe Down this November. The idea has been pioneered by Stu McLachlan, the Youth Minister at Holy Trinity Combe Down, inspired by his vision to reach young people in the area with the message of the gospel, and by Jesus’ words in John 10:10 - “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”. He hopes to help the young people to explore what life in all its fullness looks like for them.

The Christian Union will be supported by a number of teachers at the school who are Christians, and by volunteers from a locally based organisation called Bath Youth for Christ. The sessions will be available to students of all ages, from year 7 up to sixth form.

They expect to initially accommodate around 15 to 20 per session, and the young people will have the opportunity to hear a bible talk, engage with the talk in the form of a practical response, as well as being able to enjoy social time together. Young people who sense they wish to engage with exploring faith further will be encouraged to explore other forms of engagement outside of the group.

We would love for you to support the young people in prayer; pray for young people to come and be open to hearing about faith, for the team to build good lasting relationships, and for all who come along to have an encounter with the living God.
